Is Brain-to-Brain Communication Possible?

Imagine how fast we could exchange information if we could transfer our thoughts directly to another brain… Maybe you’ve dreamed of being able to transmit your thoughts directly without saying a word for a lifetime. What if you could read someone’s mind or they could read yours too?
Would it ever be a secret? Would mind control be possible? And how would you protect your privacy if everyone knew what was on your mind?
Let’s be honest, the way we communicate is pretty slow. From the moment the thought comes to your mind to the moment you say it to someone, it takes even longer to type what you’re thinking with two fingers. Our brain is much faster than that.
On average, you think about 50,000 things a day. That’s 35 thoughts per minute. You can’t write all of these thoughts down and you can’t put them into words.
Once we started to communicate through thought, we would become one giant web. Humanity would become much more innovative because the more people shared their ideas, the more other people could develop them. This would take our technologies to a level we can’t even imagine yet.
Sharing our knowledge through thoughts also makes us more coordinated. This will not only benefit all military structures, but also emergency services. Instead of looking for them, you will be able to think of “112”.
We will learn much faster and easier. Rather than explaining a concept that is very difficult to learn orally, your teacher can give you a better representation of it through reflection.
Think about what you can do with artificial intelligence. If your car has a mind of its own, you can control it with your mind. The same goes for your phone, your computer… in short, anything that can have artificial intelligence.
While controlling things sounds great, what if it leads to control of people’s minds? It might sound interesting… What if you were the one in control…? That doesn’t sound all that good, does it?
Fortunately, the way it worked would be, just as we could choose what to say, we could also choose what thoughts to share with others. No one could read your thoughts unless you let them.. You’re a little more relaxed now, aren’t you?
This new age of mind-reading would be pretty quiet. We can stop using our vocal cords to produce any sound without having to push the air into our lungs and voice box. We can finally forget language and voice. But at least you wouldn’t struggle too hard to fully express how you felt, you would show them the full extent of your feelings.
We don’t know much about our bundle of neurons. We don’t fully understand why we sleep or how our consciousness works. But we know how to read our brains.
Yes, you heard that right. Our brain fires neurons that receive, process and transmit information through electrical and chemical signals. And we can read these signals with the help of this method. This method is electroencephalography or EEG. This can be defined as a test to measure the electrical activity found in the brain.
What’s more — we can now transmit information from one brain to another. But we still need a device to read our brain and send the information to another brain.
The method used for this is transcranial magnetic stimulation or TMS. This method is a technique that aims to create a small and temporary electric current in the cerebral cortex by a very strong magnetic field created by a stimulating coil. The stimulating coil is kept very close to the scalp and focused on a specific area. This stimulus sends an electrical current to the receiver’s brain, activating a small area of it.
All this may not exactly be telepathy from science fiction. But this is what talking through thought would look like in real life. We don’t always talk to each other, we use devices to communicate.
Eventually, we will move to faster technologies and be able to communicate our thoughts to others like sending an email….
