Satoshi Nakamoto is the name used by people or groups known as the creator of Bitcoin. As part of this application, he also designed the first blockchain database and continued to develop Bitcoin until December 2010.
Nakamoto, who is still unknown, was claimed to be a man living in Japan, born on April 5, 1975. However, most of the claims put forward are that Nakamoto is a non-Japanese cryptography expert and computer scientist living in America or Europe.
It is estimated that Satoshi Nakamoto owns about 1 million Bitcoins. This figure corresponds to about $ 47,350 billion, based on the January 2021 price, when Bitcoin is at its all-time high.
Development of Bitcoin
Nakamoto, who started his work by writing the codes of the system in 2007, published an article on metzdowd.com in October 2008. Bitcoin: In the article titled A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System, he described bitcoin, which he called the electronic currency. It released the bitcoin software that launched the bitcoin network in January 2009 and took the first steps of cryptocurrency. On January 9, 2009, the edited version of the software released Bitcoin 0.1.
The Bitcoin.org domain name acquired by Nakamoto was registered with an anonymous domain, hosting and email service site about 3 months before the article titled “Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System” was published. Bitcoin.org domain name is run by Martti Malmi, nicknamed Sirius, who is the second Bitcoin developer after Satoshi’s disappearance.
Nakamoto continued to develop bitcoin software with other software developers until mid-2010. During this period, he handed over the source code repository and network alert key to Gavin Andresen, and several domains associated with bitcoin to some prominent members of the Bitcoin community and left the project he founded. Shortly before he left, he made all the changes to the source code himself.
There are many unknown dark spots about the creator of Bitcoin. One of these points is which operating system it uses while creating and developing Bitcoin. Bitcoin developer Laszlo Hanyecz, who became part of the Bitcoin network in early 2010 and worked with Satoshi Nakamoto for nearly a year, clarified this question in May 2020 and said Nakamoto uses “Windows”.
Nakamoto did not reveal any personal information while discussing technical matters. He made some comments on banking and fractional reserve loans. Based on his membership profile at the P2P Foundation, Nakamoto is estimated to be a 37-year-old man who lived in Japan. According to some claims, the fact that he uses English perfectly and the bitcoin software is published in English rather than Japanese, eliminates the possibility of being Japanese.
The founder of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, is unknown, and some of the candidates thought to be Nakamoto are Nick Szabo, Dorian Nakamoto, Vincent van Volkmer, Hal Finney, and Craig Steven Wright.
